A Visit to the Vet in Four Acts

Jessie the cat would like to share this photo essay with you 😆

“I don’t need a check-up. I feel fine. And I hate this stupid carrier.”

“Ugh. One of those yappy dogs is in the waiting room. If he comes near me I’m prepared to smack his snout.”

“They’re gonna take my temperature. And look at my teeth. I don’t need this.”

“Mommy? Whatever I did, I’m sorry. Please stop bringing me here, ok?”

Hope Jessie passed her check-up – she looks in very good condition! I recently braved taking both my (getting old) cats to the vet at the same time for a nail clipping. The elderly tabby yeowled the whole time, while the (less elderly) ginger tom looked around from his basket with great curiosity, enjoyed the outing. Cats are certainly individuals!
Hello from a for-once sunny UK!

      Jennifer,

Cats are most definitely individuals! Each has its own personality, habits, moods, etc. Jessie did pass her checkup with flying colors! She got an injury on her paw a couple of weeks ago, bleeding. I don’t know how it happened. The vet on that first visit cleaned it well, gave her antibiotics, and it has healed spectacularly! So happy for my sweet girl.

Glad the sun is shining across the pond! Thanks for your comments, Jennifer 🙂

Her expressions are priceless–and you are right on with the commentary. Hope she is well and doesn’t have to go back until next year!

      Roberta,

Yes, I loved her expressions! Especially her face while on the examination table, in that cowering pose. Jessie is pretty comfortable with her vet now so the visits aren’t too traumatic.

Glad you enjoyed the pics! Thanks for commenting.

Oh Claudia I tremble at the thought of our Vet visit soon😖Simba will not be too happy. Jessie is in unhappy company. Will keep you updated on our story…..Sadly, a terrifying experience each time.

      Maria,

I hope Simba’s vet visit goes well! They get so nervous and scared, the poor things. Yes, keep me updated.

      Thanks for your comments!

She doesn’t look all that upset by the whole experience. Letting her smoke the weed first probably calmed her down a bit 🙂

    • artmodel says:

      Bill,

Haha! Actually, cat ‘weed’ would be catnip, which has the opposite of a calming effect. I had catnip growing in my garden for a while and Jessie would nibble at it and go berserk!

      Thanks for your comments!

I have a huge soft spot for pet pictures, and these are wonderful! Thanks for sharing them, and please give Jessie an extra scratch for me.

      Dave,

So glad you enjoyed the pics! I was trying to pass the time as we waited for the vet and when I looked at them later I realized how cute and funny they were. Will definitely give Jessie that extra scratch 🙂
