Flight to Freedom

For this 4th of July holiday weekend, my love of animals and love of my country come together in a blog post. If the bald eagle – symbol of America and its freedoms – can be rehabilitated from injury and trauma, then surely America herself can do the same. Let’s hope so. Let’s hope that we too can soar again. Have a wonderful Independence Day weekend, everyone. See you soon. Blessings .. 🙂

And a Happy 4th to you as well.

Thought of you today — Rita and I visited the North Bridge in Concord and The Old Manse (home of American Transcendentalism). Food for the soul of anyone interested in American history — and a reminder of what this country is all about.

      Bill,

The Old Manse looks wonderful! The website stirred the history buff in me. You live in such a great state for those things.

Thanks for the link and for commenting! Hope you had a fantastic 4th 🙂

Happy Independence day to you love although
I am Brirish-Australian but here is someone who I saw over 45 years ahoat the albert hall and at the Isle of wight festival the British woodstock and he does it very cathatrtic and this is the coolest version of that anthem. Before theer was that Van Halen chap or Stevie Ray Vaughan this is the almighty guitar god Jimi hendrix playing in Woodstock with the Star Spangle Banner. .Happy Holidays mate God I miss Jimi

    Cheers

      Derek,

I’ve watched this so many times on YouTube, I’m glad it’s there for viewing. Jimi was an incredibly rare talent and I’ve been a fan forever. Thanks so much for sharing!

Best to you, always. Hope you’re well!
